Fireworks For Fundraising
Have you considered using fireworks to help raise funds? A firework display can be a valuable tool in the arsenal of anyone looking to raise funds for charity. Whether it be from a small back garden event or a school sports field, to something more like the large displays you see in Ascot or Reading. Fireworks have different meanings to certain people. At Star Fireworks we find many of our customers are representing a charitable cause and wish to use a display as a means of raising funds for their cause.
It can seem to be a daunting task to organise a fundraising event. However with enough time, plenty of preparation and some deliberate delegation, you will find the workload lighter. Below are some questions that might help you to focus on your outcome.
Who are your target audience? Children, adults, a mixture of all ages. Knowing your audience is key to planning a successful event. After all, they will be the ones donating to your cause. The number of guests is also valuable information and is best known well in advance if possible.
What are you going to offer? This is your advert to potential customers. Will there be food available? Is it included in the ticket price or for sale separately? What other activities are available? Consider making your event attractive by inviting local shops or services to set up at your event.
Where will you host the event? Location, location, location! One of the very first points that must be addressed. Do you have somewhere in mind? It's essential to go out and view places you wish to enquire about. This may be a case of visiting your own back garden to potentially hiring a field form a local cricket club in the off season. Many places are easily located without even leaving your seat using a simple Google search and mapping.
When will it be? Time and date. A simple but crucial piece of information. Spread the word as soon as possible so you have every chance of reaching your audience and getting them committed well before the event.
Why are you doing it? This will be your cause and the reasons as to why you are hosting a fundraising event. If your audience can relate to your cause then they are much more likely to contribute in any way they can. Make sure you have publicity and information available for people to pick up if required.
How will you do it? All of the above can only happen if you know how it will work. How will you sell tickets? How will people get there? How will the fireworks happen? The logistics are important and pre planning is required.
Star Fireworks are able to design and fire displays of all sizes. Hiring a specialist to take charge of this element will allow you, the organiser, time to focus on overseeing the event as a whole. With prices from £600 for a professionally fired display it is a very cost effective way to guarantee a spectacular night. Our team are able to guide and assist you throughout the process. Having been in the professional display industry for over 20 years we are well placed to make sure your event is a dazzling success!
